RE: Philips MX1060D / DFR1600 Problems?

I had the same problem with the out of sync sound, it seems to happen if you use fast frame forward/back too many times.
I have also found on some discs the sub will not operate unless the first few frames are fast forwarded. This has happened on Shrek & Dr. Dolittle and proves to be a pain.
I have found for me the best speaker setup is to have the rear speakers at +10dbs, fronts at -7dbs, sub at +4dbs and centre at +1dbs. I have found that this gives the surround much more punch, especially at lower volumes.
Have had no luck with the region hack as yet, however I think that an one4all URC7562 may do the trick as it can learn the codes from the existing Philips remote and may enable the `magic` code to be entered.
Currently one4all do not have a code for the mx1060d.
Apart from that the machine is good, it really has loads more volume than many other all in one systems, therefore it does not need to be run at full power all the time.
Any luck on region free let me know as I have watched nearly all the DVD`s from Xtravision!!

RE: Comments needed on Philips MX1060D

I have not tried any other type of disc, however I was sold the machine on the understanding that it would play VCD etc.
I still cannot even get my all4one remote to operate the player, let alone try to send a hack code. I think the problem lies in the fact that the machine is a tuner/receiver and not a straight DVD player, so the codes are probably entirely different.
Has anyone out there had any success at all??

Thanks.

RE: Hack needed for new Philips all-in-one cinema system - MX1060D

Does anyone know the setup code for the All4ONE remote for MX1060D?
Codes 0539 or 0503 don`t appear to work and to make matters worse there is no model number on the original Philips controller in order to try and trace the code.
Help!!

RE: Hack needed for new Philips all-in-one cinema system - MX1060D

Thanks,

I was told that it does not work.
Did you use the hack in the usual way?
Thanks.

RE: Comments needed on Philips MX1060D

I got the info from the shop, they said that they had tried every known trick in the book, however nothing worked.
I assume that it does does not damage the machine.

May be interesting to try anyway!!

RE: Comments needed on Philips MX1060D

The whole kit cost £350.00 from Richer Sounds (www.richersounds.ie).
I think that was a good deal, but I`ll reserve judgement for a week or two until the machine is well played in.
I think that I will try the region hack one of these days and report if it works, unless someone else does it first.

By the way is this a new model or old stock? It does not appear to be on the Philips web site and no one even seems to have reviewed it.

I HAVE BEEN INFORMED THAT THE REGION HACK USED FOR OTHER PHILIPS MACHINES DOES NOT WORK WITH THE MX1060D.
DON`T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON A ONE4ALL REMOTE!!

RE: Comments needed on Philips MX1060D

I bought one of these machines last week. Seems to work well, although found that soundtrack on Final Destination was out of sync.
Only other problem is the size of the unit, I had to take the back off my tv cabinet in order for it to fit.
Instructions lack info as well.

Will the machine decode a Dolby Pro Logic TV signal ? Instructions say that it will only operate if a pro logic decoder is used.
Also can it support CDRW ?

Apart from that it was £350.00 well spent.
