i have connected this recorder to my home cinema amp which is DOLBY DIGITAL / DTS / PCM compatible, but do not get any digital sound of any kind.

having read the goodmans manual is states that the digital output has to be enabled via settings menu, however i cannot find any menu wotsoever to enable digital sound from the recorder..

cd-rw playback on thomson dth4200

i have just purchased this machine at a bargain.
i want to use for playing back cd-r and cd-rw..
the player plays back cd-r perfectly, but when i try to play back cd-rw,the player shows the message of no disc..
it clearly states that the player can handle cd-rw.
the discs i have been using are maxell
can anyone help..it will be much appreciated.

sound problem DANSAI 852

having recently purchased this machine because of the easy multi-region hack, which works brilliantly on both sound and picture.
however i have noew found that the player has a serious flaw.
when connected to phono plugs on the rear of a surround amp the left channel is louder than the right channel..
is there any hack out there to get to the service menu of the machine(not the region hack)to balance out the analogue channels..
as i have not got a ac3 amp i connected the machine using a co-axial to the input of a minidisc player, and discovered the sound channels are perfectly balanced.
can anyone please help with this problem???

dansai 852

i recently purchased this player from tesco`s and found that it blows away my panny a160 in picture and sound (brilliant machine)..
however i have found a small fault on the player.
i have to have the set to analogue because i have not got ac3 reciever(soon will have).
whenever playing any sort of disc i have found that the sound is louder from the left channel more than the right channel..
has anyone got any ideas how this can be resolved??
it would be of great help.
