turn off the dvd player then turn back on.no need for a disc. select dvd mode then press set up once if language does not appear press set up again.then press repeat a/b once then press in the numbers 38767 in the top left hand corner you should see 02 press 9 for region free.then press open button then press standyby that should do it.when you press in the first number after pressing the repeat a/b the curser should not move to that language if it does start over good luck

SAMSUNG SVDVD1E HELP NEEDED

i have hacked my dvd to accept any region but my V C R will not tape them it starts up then stops with END displayed on screen. Can anyone help please .THANKS

thanks for your reply. as i said i have used the hack to change to multi region and it is fine. excuse my ignorance but is disabling the macrovision something different if so how do you disable it? when attempting to tape aregion 1 dvd the vcr starts to tape but then stops and END is displayed. thanks for all your help.... is there any way i can tape region 1 dvds after converting to multi region
using the hack.

HI THERE THANKS FOR YOUR REPLY BUT I HAVE CARRIED OUT
THE CHANGE OF REGION AS YOU DESCRIBED IT AND IT WORKS FINE BUT THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE VIDEO RECORDER WILL NOT
TAPE THE REGION I DVD ALTHOUGH IT TAPES REGION 2 O.K. AS THIS IS A COMBINED DVD/VCR DO YOU THINK THERE IS A WAY TO OVERCOME THE PROBLEM THANKS FOR ANY HELP

thanks to this site i have changed the region code but the V>C>R will not tape the region 1 dvd . is there a way round this.
