RE: SHREK> Anyone else having BIG out of synch problems????
It doesn`t appear to be just cheaper players that are having problems with this disc. Someone at work has a £400 Sony that is having difficulty with this disc as well.
The concensus from this and earlier threads is that there DOES appear to be a problem with this disc. Maybe alot of people haven`t noticed it because it is a cartoon and/or haven`t viewed the extras where the problem is even more apparent?
RE: SHREK> Anyone else having BIG out of synch problems????
The main feature appears to be OK on my Wharfedale M5 as far as I can tell, it`s always a bit difficult with cartoons! The documentaries and extras are a mile out! I have the region 2 disc. Incidently someone at work has had the same problems on a Sony.
Where would we stand on a refund?
RE: Father Ted
I have series 1 and the transfer is terrible. There is quite discernable flicking on the blacks and other colours. I even had it replaced by the shop as I thought it was faulty. I tried all the different scarts and connectors on My TV all to no avail. I thought it was my Wharfedale M5 at one point, but have tried it on a friends player now with similar results. Some episodes are worse than others. Incidently I had the same trouble with Trainspotting and I got my money back on that one.
I`m in two minds about this: Half of me thought we shouldn`t accept rubbish like this at £19.99 rrp. The other half thought it`s a great series, keep it. I did keep it in the end.
RE: Father Ted series 1 region 2 - poor quality?
I`m using the Wharfedale M5. This disc was the first I owned, so I couldn`t decide whether it was the disc or player. I also had trouble with Trainspotting but that showed up poorly on a friends setup too. I guess the next stop is to ask the same person to look at this one too.
Father Ted series 1 region 2 - poor quality?
Does anyone else own the Father Ted Series 1 region 2 DVD and think it is really poor quality? The patterned wallpaper in the main room appears to flash and quite alot of the other colours are flashing between light and dark. I had a similar, but much worse effect on Trainspotting. I took it back to the shop as it was still apparent on someone elses player.
