RE: Phunny Phrases
Watch this space, or, if not THIS space, another one a lot like it.
RE: Aruba or Barbados?
An acquaintance of mine tells me Bonaire is the Dutch`s secret gem in the Caribbean. It`s next to Aruba, and can be reached via Amsterdam too. Might be worth looking into.

RE: The James Bond poll - I don`t know who to vote for!! lol
Dalton was a true actor so he gets my vote.
Connery was too far removed from an English spy
Moore was a comedian
Lazenby looked half asleep
Niven was too old
Brosnan has too much hair.
I haven`t seen the Bronson bond. :(

Used dotcom for the Battlestar Galactica set at £17.99.
It arrived in 4 days. No problems at all.

RE: Is there any other good gangster films out there..? and gangster film fans..
I`ve just seen a 1950`s Peter Sellars film `Never Let Go` (going cheap from DVDSoon) which gave an intriguing portrayal of a bit of the London underworld. Richard Todd and Adam faith are in it too. Well worth the £3 I paid for it.
dirty mind
if you go to the link for Region 2 DVD news, and look under 1 October, and don`t read the text but just look at the pictures, you`ll see a dvd cover for Playmate of the Year, with the text underneath "Entered by such and such" and... it just made me smile. And we all need to smile.

RE: Shaolin Soccer
Another vote for SS. Bought it on the fly for $9.99 in the US. Hugely impressed by the effects, the slapstick and the character-acting.
If only real football was like this... I`ve heard said it is a one-trick-pony, but I found much more entertainment in the film than this suggests.
RE: HMV Sale - Some Gems
In Milton Keynes last night you had
the HMV Clearout,
the Woolworths, Our Price and Virgin BOGOFs,
and no doubt WHSmiths had something going on too.
So it`s a good time to get to the stores and stock up on back catalogs.
I wonder how long before A.I., and Akira come down to a tenner each?
199 `discs` in the collection, average cost £10.17 a disc.
RE: Bollywood film post for Kabhie Kushie Kabhie Gham (K3G)
Being a die-hard Dil To Pagal Hai and K2H2 fan, I did enjoy almost all 220 mins of K3G. I like to compare them to Grease, far from reality, but great fun. And that Kajol! Wouldn`t she make a brilliant Bond girl!
RE: Robocop- Prime Directives
... and Play.com have it for 14.99, when in stock.
Actually, I sell it for a fiver, when in stock (it just never IS!).
RE: X Files Season 5
Here`s what I like about Play.Com -
you get home from work and there on the floor, beneath the letterbox, is your order, at a good price, and only a few days after ordering
Here`s what I don`t like about Tesco.Com -
you get home to find a Parcel Force postcard telling you you weren`t in at their convenience, that it`ll cost another 50p to pick up your parcel at your nearest sorting office, or you can drive 15 miles to THEM to collect, or wait 5 more days for them to deliver to an alternate (eg mum`s) address.
I`d support Play anyday.
RE: Mooolan Roooge
Same here. No offer in Bletchley, but it IS in the Milton Keynes store, and other larger stores, so the kind lady in WHS Bletch told me.
RE: VAT free @ tesco.com
My mate Phil says it`s fantastic, and he`s a picky git when it comes to `fillums`.
moulin rouge @ tesco.com
Strange pricing going on here, either £15+ or £14.20 or as it finally said on my order £12.16 depending on which page of the ordering process you look at.
I hope it`s not a one discer, but at £12.16, that`s quite a bargain for me.
RE: Dansai 852 - availability
Thanks to Bill Carr for the heads up re Kingston Milton Keynes. Still loads there on Wednesday night.
What excellent VFM this player is!
RE: Woolworths - Keep Visiting for BARGAINS
Woolies also had BBC Comedy Great Moments at £9.99, a whopping £6 off WH Smith`s current price. And it`s funny, too!
RE: North/South divide. Where do you stand?
Didn`t any of you lot listen to Clinton`s speech last Sunday night?
Good grief!
RE: Forthcoming post-Christmas bargains
Popped into HMV Oxford Street on Tuesday, just before Arsenal lost narrowly to Newcastle, and spotted by chance Strange Days with an £11.99 sale sticker on it alongside a £17.99 tag. The cashier said it was incorrectly stickered at the Boxing Day price, but she sold it to me anyway!
So if you can, hold on, and get a decent bargain in a few days time.
RE: Do Warner Bros do nice packaging for R1 or R4?
Actually, since WB use such pathetic packaging, they can afford to undercut the competition, and thus ANY mention of WB discs is a reference to a bargain... unless you want decent extras, in which case, with rare exceptions, no WB purchase would be a bargain at any price.
(Batman movies spring to mind.)
RE: 28
Thanks Norman.
So I called up a washing machine product on the web site, and overtyped the 6 digit code at the end of the URL with 721972, and hit return and the offer page popped up.

I`ve just ordered using this URL.
Good luck
RE: HMV Sale
I am sad enough to enjoy browsing the stores on foot for bargains. HMV is 2 for £20 in store. I got Eye of the Beholder and For a Few Dollars More, and there were quite a few other choice picks... for a store sale.
