QED retailers - getting annoyed with delivery times.........

Any one else had trouble with qed-uk - ordered some Wharfedeale speakers and they are taking ages......

Claim not to be able to get a firm delivery date out of Wharfedale.

What to do............??

Unfortunately, most electronic retailers on-line are poor at deliveries.
I have ordered from unbeatable.co.uk & empiredirect.co.uk & they always tell you the same old story about the manufacturers delay, lardy dah. I advise you to phone QED & insist that they give you their order No on wharfdale & their tel No & then phone them yourself to find out delivery dates. You may get the same answer but at least it will set your mind at rest.

If the supplier cant supply then the retailer does not have much choice in the matter.

I have ordered in stock items from QED on two occasions in the past and they have arrived within 1-3 days. I have just placed a third order yesterday for an in stock item and I have been promised a Saturday delivery.

I recently had to return a faulty TV to QED and the collection guys botched up and didnt collect on Good Friday as I was told they would. So I rang QED on Good Friday afternoon and spoke to a guy called Paul. He was well helpfull and kicked some butt and arranged for the TV to be collected the following day (which they did). He was very helpful, apologetic and polite. They werent making any money out of me as the TV was going back for a refund so they could have just messed me around - but he went out of his way to sort things. A Gold star was awarded.

Having said that I spoke to different member of QED staff yesterday about my recent order and she wasnt helpful at all. I wanted to try and change the delivery date and she seemed to have a `couldnt be assed` attitude and suggested that I should sort it direct with the delivery company.

QED are useless in my opinion.

I ordered a SONY speaker set which they e-mailed me to say was discontinued.

They STILL took the cash and say it will be a week before a refund because it has to go through their accounts department. What a load of crap.

Try www.Hifibitz.co.uk, this is a quality service, I ordered the same set there, they told me it was discontinued, but because it was still advertised online they upgraded it to the better version at no charge, better still they phoned me at 12.30 pm to say it was being dispatched and to expect it next day, this was free delivery and it arrived within 24 hours.

I will NEVER even consider using QED again.
