DvdPlanet

Hi there,

Has anyone had any experience with dvdplanet? Basically when u first order from them u have to send/scan a copy of your credit card billing statement showing your address in order to "minimise fraud", which is fair enough I guess although it sounds a bit on the dodgy side. They sent me a mail asking me to do this. But I was wondering if it was worth following up on. Is dvdplanet reputable/reliable? Thanks!

Regards,
Eugene

It`s a weird set-up admittedly, but all seems to be above board. I just sent a scan of an electricity bill and they seemed happy with that.

It`s only on your first order, mind :-)

Took them ages to send the order through :-(

Hey Guys

I just had to post to let you know about tvdvdplanet. I placed an order on Nov 28/06. I never received anything. They charged my card the same night I placed the order. I have been fighting with them ever since back and forth. When you call the phone number on the site you can never speak to anyone and then they tell you to leave voice mail which you also cannot do. I cancelled my order on Jan 18th 2007 and my card is still not credited. Today I spoke live on line with someone and I got the run around once again. I finally told them that if they do not credit my card I will be in touch with the authorities in fraud/scam, post on the internet and go to all the newspapers. I told them they have till friday, it is now Wed. I did not even get off the computer when I received an email stating that my card has been credited. Whether this is true remains to be seen. I will keep you all posted and when I find the outcome I would encourage everyone to file complaints. I also have their address. If it is legit I don`t know Speak to you all soon

Judy

Eugene is asking about dvdplanet.com not tvdvdplanet.com, i have used dvdplanet.com a few times about 1 year ago, i had to send them proof of identity as well, the dvd`d were shipped quite quickly but took about 2-3 weeks to arrive.
