dvdepot.com - any good???

i want to buy a dvd from there, but wondered about other peoples experiences with them?!

If so i have heard nothing but the best about this retailer although i have never actually used them before

Yep

Ordered loads from them (have 7 disks on flexcart - preorder for 30 days without paying!!).

Good delivery - DHL - track your goods over the web.
EU Border-friendly (wink, wink) - no extra charges paid in all the orders I`ve had from them - one was an 8 dvd set! I most by 7 disks @ a time.

Not the cheapest, but usually v.competitive. Bill in Canadian $$ or US$ (CAN$ generally cheaper for UK).

They pack the DVDs in kitchen roll-type tissue paper to prevent scratching (free). Can ask for cardboard sleeves to protect disks but @ extra cost/disk. Order 7disks or equivalent, e.g. double disk packs count as 2, to get the best delivery cost.

Read their customer forums - V.good info and you get the good `n` bad story (though there ain`t much that`s truly bad).

Flexcart system is Brill - put a preorder title in there and you get emailed when it`s in stock. They hold the copy for you for 30 days then it goes back into stock. You can pre-pay though(you pay for it and they hold it until you want it delivered). I do this to build up a number of disks for delivery, as it`s cheaper that way.
Once you`ve used it you`ll wonder why others don`t have such a great system.

I can thoroughly recommend them.
Overall 9/10 (nobody gets 10/10!)

Used them an awful lot when I first got a DVD player. However last year (around christmas I think) a load of their orders went missing. Their customer service went out of the window (all sorts of excuses) - the upshot being that if an order went missing they were expecting customers to wait 7 weeks to see if it turned up, before despatching a replacement. I vowed never to use them again, but others seem to be more than happy with them.
