Do Amazon actually read emails?

PETER P (Competent) posted this on Wednesday, 14th March 2007, 18:59

Has anyone else found that when complaining to Amazon by email the response you get seems to be sent by someone that hasnt actually read your complaint.

By this I mean they ignore the complaint and go on to talk about general issues without addressing your original inquiry - this has happened to me twice now - so it seems to be their standard response - and its so annoying!

Yes.

I found my emails were dealt with fairly prompt within the 24hrs they mention. You could also click "Please let us know if this e-mail answered your question yes or no" and either talk to someone or ask question again to ensure you get satisfactory answer/response.

Personally, I think Amazon`s customer service has improved a lot in last 6 months to year. You could always phone them.
