I`ve voted for SVP simply due to the fact that if you miss the delivery because you were out they take it back to base and expect you to go there and pick it up! My nearest base is Runcorn which is 2 motorways and 5 buses away...!!?!?

Are you going to get fair answers if you offer a poll, then express a strong opinion in the same post ?! ;)

I have to say, Ebuyer has worked for me over the last couple of years, even when I had to use their damned Enote system.

Andy, how many times should SVP pay for a courior (sp) to try and deliver it? Once, twice, three times? Or should he sit out side all day and wait for you? I hate it when I am doing a delivery and the customer is not in. I will wait 20-30 mins then I am off. (Bearing in mind, the one I did last night after work I did not get back till midnight, do I want to add another half an hour to an all ready bloody long day?)
When they phone up asking for a new date for delivery I will charge them as I have been out once all ready.

It`s not easy being different. It`s not easy being cool....but somehow I manage....

My work, to their credit, are very good about having deliveries sent to them, so I always get my stuff delivered to a work address and the mrs quite often gets days off during the week so if it HAS to go to the billing address I do it for a day off.

Its not exactly rocket science to work out that if you work during the week, putting your home address is like requesting a return to base or a depot pick up.

I hate it when couriers try to palm off my neighbours deliveries to me.

If the guy ain`t in take the damn thing back to base I don`t want to hold their package.

Wow, glad I don`t live near you ! I`m happy to take things for other people, and would therefore hope they`d do the same for us (in fact, I do, and they do !) We also have one of those storage crates from Homebase at the from of the house, and have trained postie to put things in there as long as they don`t require signatures :D

I would be f***ing furious if couriers tried leaving things with a neighbour....

Do you you live in a `Goodnight Sweetheart` style 40`s timewarp, where doors could be left unlocked and you had nothing better to do than chat to your neighbours over your neatly trimmed hedge?

Because in the real world, a package goes to a neighbour, you never see it again.
