Looking for a good Canadian DVD Retailer

srqwerty (Competent) posted this on Saturday, 3rd December 2005, 21:46

I want to send some DVDs to a couple Canadian friends for Christmas, so wondered if anyone could recommend any good, reliable Canadian DVD retailers. (I used to use DVDSoon, back when they were good, but wouldn`t trust them with my money now. :( )

Cheers.

Caiman at `Amazon.co.uk` or `Amazon.com`

I use them a lot and they are very very reliable and some very good prices too.

Also at `Amazon.ca` Doh!!!

Just noticed they ship from Florida USA and not Canada.

Thanks for your reply. :)

Yeah, I`ve used Caiman before. They`re usually pretty good, although occasionally slow on the dispatch.

Haha! I had thought of using them, but their prices tend to be a bit on the high side, so I was hoping their might be some cheaper places out there. Don`t mind paying their prices if I have to, but I`d rather get more bang for my buck if at all possible. ;)

DVDImport.com are based in Canada and are very competitive; I`ve not yet used Movietyme.com but others rate them quite highly.

Caiman are based in Miami, Fl - I`ve yet to have a DVD with bi-lingual packaging from them, so I assume they source their stock from inside the US - if that matters.

Can`t rate DVD Import high enough, though. :)

Another vote for DVDImport here! Great prices and great service. No problems so far.

Have used DVDBoxoffice and Movietyme in the past with no problems (apart from the PSP game I had to cancel with DVDBoxoffice the other day, had the order 2 weeks ago and no movement, CD-Wow shipped said game for me yesterday).

Do NOT use DVDImport. They are DVDSoon under a different disguise.
