I have contacted the "customer service" web form on many occasions. Its 57 days since I ordered. I order a lot of dvd`s from Asia and the US and nothing has been delayed even remotely. My longest outstanding order is #22025798. No delivery, no refund. I cannot vouch for your genuine authenticity with these statistics.

I too have had trouble with moviesville - I ordered a House of Flying Daggers box set nearly 3 months ago - never turned up. After MANY emails, they keep fobbing me off telling me that it will turn up and if I wanted, I could have a refund. After replying that yes, this would be preferable as it`s not likely to turn up - they issue me a refund in store credit. So now, if I want I can order something else and wait for months on end for nothing to turn up. I`m only glad I wasn`t tempted to order more - I ordered this one DVD to see how fast they were with a view to ordering many more. I`ve given up hope of it ever turning up or getting a refund - I just put this all down to a rip off company as I`m sure many others do.

RonaldMacDonald and TattooedClaire:

You are both in the UK.

Some UK customers reported that a few orders shipped in August just recently turned up at their doors (now it`s October 27th). About two months.

This kind of late arrivals never happen to US customers or customers in other areas of the world.

Recently a lot of shipments to Europe and especially UK did not turn up or were significantly delayed. I think the UK Customs imposed some restrictions after the London subway incidents.

So we are issuing store credits for shipments lost of delayed. I believe these will finally turn up. I am sure such late shipments will never happen again.

At the risk of sticking my nose in but LingLing surely you would be better off communicating via e-mail with your customers.
To keep posting stuff like

Will only cause an arguement and you would rather argue in private surely.

Absolutely. And we don`t want store credits. We won`t be buying anything from you again. And we dont believe you shipped the dvd`s. And we will never receive the dvd`s. And we still stand by the comments in the original post. And this is a place to warn other potential buyers of what they can expect. And 58 days and no delivery/refund... :(

RonaldMacDonald:

I can offer full refund no problem. Yours is a very exceptional case as we ship thousands of packages per month, some of them do get amiss. But I can guarantee you that we did ship your items. We don`t set up a website and then take thousands of orders per month, and get your money and we do nothing. If that`s the case, we would be out of business 5 years ago.

We might have delayed in responding your queries, and we might have lost your shipment or delayed it somehow at Customs, but what you are claiming here is absolutely wrong and contrary to principles of trust between humans. I just want to assure you that we are a legit and honest business - any problem, we have a solution, and we bend backwards to server our customers.

But cases like this do get our attention and become causes for our future improvements in customer services and logistics. For example we are now negotiating with a major express courier to expedite shipments to Europe.

Not to offend you guys but your UK Customs is slow. The packages might have been sitting there for 2 months.

..and that is all that was asked for from day 45. If this happens then I will retract any doubts I have cast here. The dvd buying community is there to help each other make choices when the market is ridden with e-tailers whose words (when you can manage to get any that is) seldom match their actions - Splash, DVDSoon etc.

Ronald what is your eBay or movieSville.com account email address? send me a private message please.

I can fully refund your purchase since this might be lost already, but it might finally show up (most possibly), so you can decide to pay for it or not if it shows up - I would rather to offer this as a free gift if it shows up, to not lose a customer.

We do not bulls***. "No bull" is our mantra.

Well my order finally arrived today, well packaged and undamaged despite its lengthy journey which took exactly two months after the order was placed :D

My apologies to LingLing, you obviously didn`t lie that the order had been shipped. I guess the end result of this is that moviesville.com can be trusted by international buyers.

My observations for international buyers are just to beware that shipping CAN take upto 8 weeks, which is a long time for `in stock` items, BUT they will arrive and I believe these guys keep their word.

Would I order from moviesville.com again?

Yes. Now I know that if I choose standard shipping I could be waiting 2 months or else I will choose a faster shipping method. I will be interested to see what courier option becomes available but in the meantime Im prepared to wait because the product is good and at good prices.

LingLing, its good to see that orders now have a warning that they can take upto 8 weeks. My only suggestion would be to make this a little bigger and more visible - it may take some of the heat off your customer service guys at the end of the day.

My apologies for any negative image this posting may have created of you or your business.

How about changing the title of this thread so it`s a bit less negative of Moviesville?
I might try these guys myself.
Are they customs friendly? (One cough yes, two coughs no!)
