Page 1 of Sky TV and Sky Plus

Phoned Sky yesterday to get a Sky Plus box for the £49 offer that they are running, but was advised that if i did`nt take multi-room (only have 1 TV in the house) i would have to pay £199 for the box and £60 for install (:¦

I`ve been a sky customer for the last 2 years and it bugs me that every 12months on a phone contract you get a free mobile phone worth anything between £100-£300, but Sky dont give anything out except when you 1st sign up!

I told the woman that i would`nt be taking the deal as i`m not paying almost £260 for the box/install and then the £36.00 each month for Sky Sports World!

I then phoned the disconnections department and advised them that i was thinking of going onto NTL Digital, they advised me that they could give me 1/2 price Sky for the next 3 months, i`ve just come off this deal with them so having 6months altogether.
The woman i spoke to was very nice and wanted to help, so i took the 1/2 price deal and will try and get a Sky Plus box for FREE in the January sales!

Only asking because I was also really annoyed that its only a new customer offer :((

We`ve got our main Sky box in the living room, and a multiroom box in one of the bedrooms. I`ve E-mailed Sky asking if we were to take up their £49 quid offer, if they`d stick the Sky+ in the other bedroom (that currently doesn`t have Sky).

Bloody gits. 2 days and no reply. I ain`t phoning them, as the last time I had problems with one of our boxes, I had to phone 5 or 6 times, once I was on hold for 50 minutes. The phone bill was £20 over it`s normal amount thanks to them. >:(

Did I mention they`re gits?
