Advice required regarding dvdsoon please
Hi` yall,
A while back I purchased a Nintendo DS for the princeley sum of $179 cad which was a bargain price. It was shipped two weeks ago along with a few other orders which arrived within a couple of days. Anyhow it hasn`t shown up, and due to the fact that loads of other orders since that have done, I can`t see it making an appearance now.
Here`s the good bit, I only had it shipped standard ( done in autopilot ). So with the value being on the outside of the package it could have tempted some oik to have had it away as it didn`t require a signature.
So what I need to know is....
Could it still be at customs, although I would`ve expected some kind of notification ?
Will dvdsoon refund me after the 30 day waiting period ?
Any advice from anyone who has had an experience of a similar situation would be appreciated.
Ta ! 6digits :(

I would hazard a guess that given its price, it is highly likely it will be stuck in customs hell, and if so, it`s anyone`s guess how long it will be before you see it. I had a parcel valued at around £25 which took six weeks to arrive, four of those spent sat in a customs warehouse, and parcels turning up two months after dispatch is not uncommon. Dvdsoon generally offer refunds after 30 business days, which is more like six weeks, however given the price of the product I`m not sure how this would be handled.

should be refunded. if not, contact your credit card company and they will refund you after you sign a form saying that you did not receive the goods, as that is part of the contractual obligation undertaken by the companies who accept credit cards.

I purchased some cd`s from a company in Canada on 22 January, 2005. They shipped on 25 January, 2005, and arrived yesterday so two weeks is nothing unusual. Delivery times are invariably much slower when Customs intervene and impose charges.
In my experience, items sent by DVDSoon, which are valued in excess of £18, rarely get through Customs unscathed these days so the chances are you will receive a notice from the Royal Mail in the near future informing you that they are holding a package on which duty must be paid. If it is valued at CA$179 you could be looking at a charge somewhere in the region of £15 to £20.
