WH SMITH / LOVEFILM
I have just noticed on the WH SMITH website that they are launching their dvd rental service. In the small print it says that it`s managed by lovefilm. I`m tempted to try it because it offers the same service as lovefilm but it`s £13.99 rather than £14.99. Has anyone tried it, or any idea why it`s cheaper? I`m with Blockbuster at the moment - see from my previous posting what major problems I`m having.
Lots of companies now are going with Lovefilm eg CDwow and Lovefilm also offer a rental service. Personally I found their service crap, they treat you like a thief if a DVD gets lost in the post, they hardly ever sent out my first choice, the turnaround from time they received the sent back DVD to time they posted a new one out was also poor. I`m with Tesco now and its £13.97 for 3 films a week and must say their service is excellent, no complaints so far and it`s been about 2 months now.
Do a search on this forum for `Lovefilm` you will see I`m not the only one who has had problems with them.
On the other hand, I`ve had no problems with Lovefilm.
WHSmith, on the other other hand... >:(

That`s great but just wait until you do....
I used Tesco and had terrible service,on the other hand lovefilm up to now have been good.Though "touches wood" have not had a film go missing yet>
I am currently in dispute with them over lost disc.
Finished free trial, sent all discs back and canceled account, still being billed.
No response to emails.
Stay well clear.
For me lovefilm is very, very slow. I`m on the WHSmith/Lovefilm trial and it`s a pain so I`m going to cancel. By contrast, ScreenSelect and VideoIsland have been great!
