Godfather (5disc) at £28.99 delivered at www.play.com (I ordered with them no problems)

My experience with using dvd pricecheck is that they don`t list promotional stuff i.e. Woolies WHSmiths BOGOF etc.

CD-Wow is excellent customer service and generally good prices for dvds and cds especially if you can get hold of discount codes (see Bargain Buckets forum). Having said that I`ve started checking prices on Amazon.co.uk and find a lot of the dvds cheaper and I think free delivery on orders over £25.

I think the best place for finding good offers is Bargain Buckets Forums.

Good luck with your bargain hunting for 200+ DVDs

I don`t actually use play.com that much for DVDs because although they`re very fast to deliver, their prices aren`t usually the best. I find DVD Soon (Canadian site) is usually the cheapest, though the three obvious snags with them are: 1) Credit card charged in CAN$, so you get a 20-30p currency surcharge on your bill [and you have to use www.xe.net or something like that to convert the figure back to pounds !], 2) If you order 18 quid or more`s worth of stuff, you might be hit by import duty, especially now that DVD Soon put the exact price on the form stuck to the package and 3) they may stop their free international postage offer soon (supposed to end 31st Dec 2003, but appears to be still going). Whilst the free postage is still going, put each of your orders in separately.

Other sites I use are CD WOW (only cheapest if you use the promo codes/affiliate IDs) and 101cd.com
- I only use HMV and Amazon when they have a sale on, because they`re usually at the more expensive end of things outside of sale items.

another price check site is Happy Hunter. It`s faster than DVD Pricecheck.

I tend to use DVD Soon for R1 titles, but like Richard says about the customs declaration, things might be a bit touch and go. Still, you can order a few titles at a time and it might be okay. CD-WOW is good for fast delivery and sale items, Play is good for sale items but can be a bit slow to deliver.

Disclaimer: I said it `might` be okay. ;-)

DVDPACIFIC.COM are very cheap at the moment. I have ordered 2 Laurel and Hardy (3 hour dvds) for £1.22. They have loads of bargains, Oh I also ordered The Hitcher 2 for £2.90 thats cheaper than renting it!!! And you also have to consider the weak dollar and the strong pound £1.00GBP = $1.82 the last time I checked.

Hi,

Digital Blur is a new UK company, they don`t have a huge catalogue at the moment, but their prices are pretty good. I used them once and had no problems, with very fast delivery.

They are worth a look
