How do they compare to Play for instance?

Veeeery expensive. You`d be better off going into HMV. At least You`d get it straight away (depending on the size of your local one).

Expensive but reliable.

Extortionate - dunno how they ever get any customers, probably because they`ve been around long enough and advertising long enough to be known to the masses.

Reliability you expect from all DVD vendors - i`ve bought about 50 dvd`s online and had no problems with any retailer. I must just be born lucky.

They`re very reliable and used to be good on price but alas, no more! Titles are pricey compared to just about everyone else and they charge carriage.

I`ve noticed that most of their prices are dearer than my local MVC branch! At least I can pop into there and get it straight away for a cheaper price!

Expensive but reliable is very true. I`ve ordered a few things from them and had zero problems. They`re as quick as Amazon.co.uk.

Excellent service, movies arrive on release date, site is informative even if an item is no longer available/out of print, loyalty scheme with nice gifts but generaly much more expensive than anyone else! Premium service for a premium price, occasional bargains if you look hard enough.

Well, the last film I ordered from them (Spider-Man - had vouchers) arrived a week before the release date. A total compliment to Blackstar, although they are far too expensive when placed next to Play.
