Best place to buy a multi region player?
Does anybody know who sells the best multi region players?
I am going to replace my old Toshiba 2108 with a Toshiba 520 and am looking for a quality multi region modified player. My old 2108 ( bought from Futuretronic in London a few years ago ) played any discs perfectly - including RCE titles . I have seen some players from Richer Sounds causing a few problems and am generally wary of just going anywhere . Any help would be much appreciated .
Thanks

I`ve used www.techtronics.com quite a few times and have never had any problems with them... so far.

Thanks , I have looked at their site a few times and have heard good things about them . Maybe I will give them a try . Although I see they are not so competitive with their pricing on certain players . Do you know Multizone DVD ? They are doing some good offers at the moment.
Cheers

My Pioneer DVD340 has played everything I have chucked in it. Less than £130 from Mr Richer if I my memory serves me correctly.

Can`t speak for Richer Sounds website, but my local branch have been great - Thought the first one I bought was no good, the second wigged out at Disney discs the third (an LG) has been fine. I got a good discount on the LG because of the problems with the previous models.
If you live near a branch you can try a player out in your house, if you don`t like it you can return it for a refund or a different model.

i`d go with handsome.b.wonderful, tho there website is crap, so its best to phone them up, so they can jot down all the requirements you want such as multi region, RCE chip (so it can play RCE discs), macrovision chipped (so you can record from dvd to video. Also if you want play re-writeable, ask them about which player plays cdr vcd, mp3 etc, just incase you may want to purchase say like Star Wars Five star collection.
I recommend you have it chipped so it can play region 1 - 6, just incase, theres a disc say on region 3 you want.
also, american players are cheaper than UK as you don`t have to pay out VAT, they`ll provide you with a transformer for you player should you purchase a US player.

Richer Sounds reliable, only other though is if you want a player with Macrovision turned off as well as multiregions, then www.techtronics.com, but more expensive than simple multiregion.
