Never bought from them before - looking to get 5 or 6 DVDs. Total cost will be around 60-70 quid. Am I likely to get hit by customs charges?
Thanks.
RE: Buying from play.com - question
Play ship DVDs individually, so you`ll only get hit by customs if a disc exceeds £18.
I have to disagree with dqmailbox.
I ordered "Friends Series 7 Boxset" off them in July...cost me £72.99, and I didn`t get hit by customs. I have also ordered 2 other boxsets off them ("Band of Brothers" + "Die Hard: Double Pack"), both exceeded £18, and didn`t get hit on either.
But, I have to say Play are excellent. :)

Count yourself as one of the lucky ones RB.
I think it`s fair to point out that any time you place an order over £18 you`re taking a chance with HM customs.

RE: Buying from play.com - question
On 14 November, 2002, received a three disc set valued at £29.99 from Play. Customs and Postal Charges amounted to £9.27. As dqmailbox pointed out, any time you order goods exceeding £18 you take a risk of Customs/Postal Charges being imposed.
Why £18?
RE: Buying from play.com - question
£18 is the limit for goods purchased and £36 for gifts. If the value is above that then customs may charge you if they notice.
RE: Buying from play.com - question
Charges only effect Region 1 discs (US) only. If you order loads of Region 2 there`s no porb.
