i hut wanted to know as quite a lot of sites use ccnow. Do ccnow let the site see your credit card number so the site can do the tranaction, or is it all done via ccnow only. cc now just tells them what youve order and credits to there account.

I hope somone can help, thanks !!

I`m looking to buy something from a site that uses CC Now but I`m a little worried because there is now padlock or "https" in the address bar so I`m not so sure how secure they are,do you know how secure they are?I think they arrange the transaction for you and when your cleared they tell the company in question and your order is dispatched.

I`ve ordered some items from sites which use CC NOW and had no problems with them . It appears on your credit card as CC NOW and not the company that you bought from.

CCNow don`t pass on your card details - they bill your card, and simply pass on your order details (name, address & what you want) to the retailer. They take a commission out of what you`ve paid them, and pass on the rest to the retailer.
I`ve always found the connection to be secure - if I remember, the CCNow part may open up in a frame inside the overall page, so if there`s no padlock/https then try right clicking inside the CCNow square where you`re entering your details & select "Properties" to see if it`s encrypted or not.
Anyway, they don`t pass on your card details, and even if you have any problems with the retailer (ie they send you crap stuff or nothing at all) you should be able to claim back the cash from CCNow.

Dazza.
