Page 1 of iPhone 4.2........anyone else sick of waiting??

As the title says really, desperate to try to get my 3G back to some normality!!

I kinda like the idea of a new firmware, my iPhone 4 (and 2G before it) has a wireless issue it may or may not fix. Is this supposed to be good for 3G users then?

4.2 is supposedly going to fix all the speed issues the 3G owners are having. Believe it when I see it though.

yeah, came out yesterday afternoon

Installed it last night & it`s made my 3G worse, getting loads off type lag :(

Its getting beyond a joke now, the last update fixed most of the issues, & the new patch has put the problems back in :-/

My wife just updated her 3gs to 4.2 and it worked for an hour or so then it bricked. A quick google found a few others with the same problem. I had to hold the power and home buttons together with the phone connected to the pc which allowed a restore. That was an hour ago and it seems ok now. Just thought i`d mention it incase any of you have the same problem.

All my music is gone, well it`s still there as it shows up in the General / About menu as a large number of songs and very little space available, and it even shows when I load up something like TuneWiki, however trying to play any of them from that does nothing, and when I go to the iPod app it says No Content.

iTunes say`s its there too.

Think I`ll have to restore as well, sigh.

Ah no found a fix for that, so I don`t have to, phew!

1) Connect your iPhone to your computer and launch iTunes
2) Go to your phone on devices and select the music section
3) Double click any music track to start playing it on your computer
4) Click the Sync button

When it finished syncing I got my music back under the iPod app!

Just read over on the T3 site that 4.3 will be released ...... Beginning of December

Sarah`s 3GS is still on the original version that it came with, keep holding off updating it for her because as soon as the latest version is releaed a newer more up to dat one is announced.
