Page 1 of iPhone/MSN...?
PCs & Mobiles Forum
Was using a program called IM+ lite which was ok and did the trick.
It allowed more than one client so had it working on MSN and AOL for me.
Now they`ve done the usual "update" crap and the result is almost unusable.
Extra adverts and a tiny screen area to view messages make it a waste of time for me.
Does anyone have any experience of a decent program for use with MSN and/or AIM? Preferably free as I can obviously text when out in the car and this is only to save the couple of friends who don`t have big text allowances to keep in touch.

Erm I use IM+, when was this update? Or are you using the free one, I bought the full version which didn`t have any of those.
Apart from the keyboard sometimes obscuring half the chat, I like it.

About a week or two ago and yes, it`s the "Lite" version or in other words the free one.
The keyboard always did obscure lots of the screen, but I could handle that, now they`ve changed the ads to put more on it reducing the screen even more and changed the background theme that it`s almost impossible to read incoming messages.
I was considering buying the full version but when a company changes to this kind of tactic to almost bully free users into paid ones it puts me right off them.

It gets regular updates, I have no idea how much it is atm.. oh wait just checked, £5.99, I bought it on offer for £1.19.
Maybe wait for it to go on sale at some point?
I thought MSN did their own one on there now anyway.

Yeah, there`s a free MSN on there (made my MS I assume). But it is just MSN (won`t do AOL as well).
Aol was just an extra. Msn alone would be ok.

Have you tried eMessenger, now called eBuddy, that lets you chat on various networks. I used to use it before and it worked well. As well as the browser version, it says they also do an app version for iPhone, Andriod now too.
