Anyone recommend third party glossy paper for Epson?
Having done my own experiments, and also read online ones too, I steer clear of third party inks like the plague. But I was curious if anybody has found good third party paper?
I`m pretty sure that if it doesn`t smudge and looks fine after printing, the paper isn`t going to affect the life of the image.
But as for what to get, my experience a fair few years ago proved fruitless, with everything I tried (even from brands like Kodak) was just awful.

I had problems with third party inks with my old epsom. When I moved over to Canon I had no problems with them until I used the ones at SVP. They totally cocked up the print heads, however Canon replaced the machine for me with a newer model (they did cock up a little whilst repairing my old one) & it was out of guarantee at the time. I moved over to copy inks again about 3 years ago & use Real Jet from `Inkredable`. I`ve had no problems whatsoever. Believe it or not I get good results from the glossy paper in poundland....touch wood.

Um... think the paper does have an effect on longevity too but don`t hold me to it.
I very rarely print pictures tbh, but if you`re going to get into it with any kind of seriousness there`s a thing called a Spyder which attaches to your monitor and callibrates it to make what you see on screen closer to what you print out.
Some papers also have ICC profiles, if you can get hold of one of them or have one made for your paper/ink combo you`ll get great results.
IIRC Kodak paper has ICC available... dunno if it`s free or costs ya though

I might have to experiment with papers. Don`t really know how to use ICC profiles for papers with my printer driver. :o
Paul, try what I did as an experiment... http://robertj.myreviewer.com/default/a117039/Beware_of_Third_Party_Inks
The point being, if it can last a week in strong sunlight without fading, it should last ages in a draw.

For past few years I`ve been using paper from Costco (4 months ago was about £12 inclusive of vat for box of 100 x A4, but you have to be a member to purchase from them or know someone that is ). Use Photo Glossy and a couple of other settings depending on what I`m printing. Never had any problems with it and would recommend it especially for Epsons printers. Ideal for photo printing
Don`t like using generic inks so stick with Epson originals. Generics tend to smell, colour not long lasting, clogg up printer and display printer error/messages.
