Is there a programe that...

I am looking for a programe that will normalise a batch of MP3 files, like what Nero does when you are burning a compilation CD. I have a set of MP3 files that when I listen to them in Windows Media some are very low and then the next loud.

It stops one track from being quiet and the next bursting the speakers.

Is there a programme/addon plugin that would help?

Any advice appreciated.

I used MP3 Gain a few years back to set the decibel levels on my Metallica tracks so going from an old album to a new album didn`t deafen me. From what I remember it was really easy to use and didn`t take too long to do and album though, obviously, the larger the batch you are changing, the longer it takes.

Have you ever drunk Baileys from a shoe?

MP3Gain is your best bet. It isn`t perfect, but it is much better than re-encoding your MP3s, which is what you`d have to do if you wanted it any better.
