Beer induced answer & not reading the actual Q.

I consider myself an optimist, albeit an optimist with cynical tendencies and a dark side that Lucifer himself would find a little creepy. (Perhaps you've noticed.) You don't normally associate cynicism with an upbeat pov. But I have exactly that combination and will defend it.

I hate answering the phone at work - It disturbs my sleep.

Its probably blue screening but because of the joys of XP it doesn`t blue screen anymore and just reboots (because thats much more helpful).
Right click on My Computer and go to Properties. From there go to Advanced tab.
Here you will see three options. The third of which is Startup and Recovery and you get a settings button for this. Click that button and de-select the tick that says Automatically Restart.
This will now mean that instead of restarting your PC will blue screen. Although that looks worse its actually better because now it will at least give an error message. When/If it happens again write down this error and google it. Chances are you will then find out exactly whats wrong with the PC and know what your dealing with then.

You could also try having a look in the Event Log (Control Panal - Admin Tools -Event Viewer) and see if there are any errors listed there (the ones with a red cross next to them).

Try that and let me know

We are getting outside of my area of expertise here so anything I say is now a "what I would do" opinion but a quick google shows

Quote:
Description: File ZDPSp50.sys is located in the folder C:\Windows\System32\drivers. The file size on Windows XP is 17664 bytes.
The driver can be started or stopped from Services in the Control Panel or by other programs. The program has no visible window. There is no detailed description of this service. File ZDPSp50.sys is not a Windows system file. Therefore the technical security rating is 40% dangerous.

Important: Some malware camouflage themselves as ZDPSp50.sys, particularly if they are located in c:\windows or c:\windows\system32 folder. Thus check the ZDPSp50.sys process on your pc whether it is pest.

I would either be looking to run a spyware type scan or check to see if there was a process starting up (Start - Run - Msconfig - Startup tab) relating to it. If there was then if you dont recognise it (they normally show what they relate to ie Microsoft next to it) then disable or delete it from starting up when the PC boots.
