RE: Installing Leopard On Windows PC
What motherboard do you have in there? Since that seems to be the biggest issue.
I have it installed on my machine (see this thread: www.forums.reviewer.co.uk/forums/thread.asp?Forum=292&Thread=702791&Type=1&Page=2)
Apart from a couple of minor issues it works very well.
Only things I have outstanding are a) get it booting directly off the hard drive (although I`m not too fussed about it) and b) get the graphics card quartz enabled (should be doing that this evening).
As for your install...I`m assuming of course that you have purchased a licence for Leopard ;)
Once you have that...you basically need to get hold of a copy of Leopard that will install on your machine. The most popular one seems to be iATKOS.
Word of warning, this isn`t for the faint-hearted, and can involve a fair bit of messing around to get it working right. If you`re happy with command line editing and partitioning etc. then you should be fine.
Head over to the up huck forums (remove the space between the p & h - swearword filters it) - where you can find detailed installation instructions etc.
Otherwise, PM me if you want more info.

RE: Installing Leopard On Windows PC
Have you managed to have a crack at it as yet?
I`ve been using mine as the OS of choice at the moment, and I`m actually quite liking it, which is a little surprising for me, given I`ve been happily using Windows for years.
I did some DivX>MP4 converting last night with real ease (using iSquint) and iTunes recognises and can write to my ipod happily (just won`t do a system update on it).
I haven`t played around with the video editing (iMovie) as yet, since this was something I wanted to try out on a Mac before I took the plunge.
Still have to remember that the keyboard layout is strange (ie American style for @ key etc.)
I need to wean the wife off Outlook Express and over to Thunderbird on the Windows install, so that it can be easily migrated to a Mac if necessary (hopefully just literally copied across).

iirc my mac mini did the same thing, but there was a setting to sort it, as for running it full time, i`d deffo consider it once it runs everything i need it to, i mainly struggle playing the high def video stuff, which unfortunately is my main use for it :(
i`ll be making an install attempt on my main pc today, i`ll let you know how i go on with it :)

RE: Installing Leopard On Windows PC
I installed (that`s a joke really, its just dragging to the applications area :D) VLC & the Divx component for Quicktime.
VLC handles the .mkv (h264 encoded) files with ease and plays back nicely. Quicktime played my Divx stuff without a problem as well.
RE: Installing Leopard On Windows PC
i also have VLC + divx for mac installed, & googled for any mac codec packs etc, but there are still a lot of files (inc some oddly encoded mkv`s) that simply won`t play ball, whilst media player classic runs them perfectly :/ + tbh, imo media player classics feels miles better to use (again, only imo ;) )

RE: Installing Leopard On Windows PC
I use "Transmission" for the torrent client.
And I think Peerguardian is available for Mac OSX as well (I`m sure I found it last week).
In fact...here it is:
phoenixlabs.org/pgosx/
I`ve got the same issue with leaving the DVD in the drive, but it doesn`t bother me that much to install a boot loader.
What is "little snitch" and should I have used it before connecting!?!?! :D
PS - Am still using OSX as my OS of choice at the mo...and its working pretty well IMHO.
