Page 1 of Accidently erased from exsistance.

I went into control panel then into folders to check what was on a disc I had in the drive. The file link to my D drive wasn`t there.I checked a few other places and it seems my drive doesn`t exsist anymore. I pressed the eject button and that doesn`t work either. I don`t remember clicking to erase anything as important as that. What can I do?

Don`t panic just yet....my suggestion would be to have a look inside the pc case and make sure that there are 2 cables are securely attached to the cd drive, even if they look connected its worth taking them out and plugging them back in.
