Page 1 of Orange Livebox

Looking at changing internet provider and might upgrade with Orange. I am currently wireless with a netgear DG834G modem/router which i am very happy with. Do I have to use the orange supplied livebox or can i continue to use my exisiting hardware?

I don`t think you have to use the Livebox, I find it very handy though as you plug a normal phone in and get free phone calls with it. :) Just remember that they are rented, so if you decide not to use it, don`t sell it :D

Oh, and I`ve always heard Tiscali are dreadful.

I`m surprised the swear filter doesn`t remove livebox ;)

The only reason is when I was sorting out internet they one of about 3 or 4 who could do 2mb around here. Woo hoo!!!! :/

They definately limit bandwith at peak times as I`ve had usenet and torrents on and both don`t pick up towards peak speed until gone 10/11. >:(
