Page 1 of WHATS THE BEST ANTIVIRUS/FIREWALL PROTECTOR please help..

my mcafee antivirus subscription has just run out, my firewall is still protected but i no longer get the updates for the antivirus,
last year i just went onto the side and resubscribed for £16.00 which lasted another year but now thats no longer availiable the cheapest was £35.00

so i need cover for broad band and would like some pointers please.....any help would be great thanks

Exactly the same for me too. Both brilliant.

Have been using TrendMicro for 3 years now at home and in the office, works very well, get 2-3 updates a day.

The new version can be installed on 3 computers with 1 license, your PDA and phone.

On my Windows partition I use ZoneAlarm firewall. Been using it for years and it´s always been top notch and easy to use. AVG is a great Anti virus, well recommended. You might also like to consider Avast! Antivirus, which is the one I use. Also recommended are Ewido anti trojan, spybot search and destroy, spywareblaster, and Ad aware. All free programs, with regular updates, and not resource hungry like something like Norton etc is. In fact all the above programs altogether probably don´t even take up as much space as Norton on it´s own.

Whats the best FREE anti-virus/ firewall that works on Vista?

currently, AVAST i`m told it works on vista, but i have not yet tried it myself

I think AVG says it works on vista.

i was just about to post an update about that :)

I can CONFIRM AVG free now works A-ok on vista, however Ewido is still being updated.
