Page 1 of How do i upgrade to Vista?

Hi all, i bought a pc just before xmas and was told it has free upgrade to vista but before i contact the shop i was wondering is there a site i have to go to???

i think that once vista is released, u prob just mail the order for it and pay for its postage to ur good self. u would av had info bout this with ur purchase.

on another note. is vista worth the upgrade - or is it a major resource hog, with the hyped up memory and graphics requirements.?? :/

Vista was released 2 days ago, and from what I have read dont expect the upgrade to be free. Depending on the PC manufacturer and the version available to upgrade to, there may still be some cost + postage. And I believe it is the PC manufacturer you contact, not the store.

According to PC Pro magazine an upgrade from Media Center Edition to Vista Home Premium may have a small admin fee + postage. Upgrading from XPHome may cost up to 50% of the upgrade cost + postage.
