Page 1 of URGENT.... which imei unlock generater do i need for a nokia 6230i....

only urgent cos my brother is coming around in about 10 mins & i forgot i promised i`d sort it for him :)

if anyone can dig me out of this hole i`d be greatfull :)

ah s***. I unlocked one of these myself quite recently (I think I actually asked you for a generator!).

anyway, as usual nokiafree.org came up trumps. I cant for the life of me remember what, but the faq and forums gave me all the info i needed.

is it dct3 or dct4 ?

where the imei etc goes is obvious, but i`m wondering what to do with the MCC+MNC field, i don`t remember using that last time & it`s been eons since i had to do this :) (not counting the nokia 1600 cos some very helpfull peeps on here did it for me :) )

EDIT= ah, it auto fills when you add the network, hopefully the settings box will do the same :)

It`s worth looking over at the nokiafree.org forums for some help as to what options to use in the various boxes and which of the 7 generated codes to use. Some things can vary depending on who the phone is originally locked to.

tried em all, i added the codes correctly & i have done this many times before (albeit a few years ago) but got no responce at all, tbh, i think somebody has allready tried & failed using the 5 attempts, either that or orange put there own firmware in again, he`s off to get it cable unlocked :( oh well,,,, thanks for the help guys :)

MOST 6230i PHONES HAVE TO HAVE INCORRECT SIM INSERTED THEN IT SAYS PHONE RESTRICTED SO U PRESS UNDO AND THEN INPUT THE CODE BUT AS MENTIONED EARLIER U ONLY GET 5 ATTEMPTS.
CODES 1-2-5-7 ARE USUALLY THE SAFEST
