CloneCD takes all night to backup a CD-ROM
I was backing up a DVLA road theory test CD using CloneCD Encrypted game copy option and it took all night to read the CD. The first 50% read was done in about three minutes.
I have a DVD Writer and it normally takes 5 min to burn a full CD.
Why did it take so long?
This is the first time I have used CloneCD so have nothing to base the times on.

Sounds like your not using the right program
You should be using Clone DVD as it is a DVD not a game

I would change software and use Alcohol 120% Brilliant software.

Thanks, but although my drive is a DVD writer the software is on a CD so I though a CD Copier was needed as my dvd writer burns CDs.

Corrupted data on a disc (cd or dvd) can also cause pretty severe read problems.
Was the original disc marked or damaged in any way? Was it a copy - perhaps with data write errors?

Was the original disc marked or damaged in any way? It was smudged quite badley. Tried cleaning it and it worked a lot faster, as the copy that took all night didnt work properley.
