Using ipods on Windows 98

Hi - I have 6 year old Packard bell PC with Windows 98. (Not special edition)
I was given an ipod shuffle for christmas, but of course ipods don`t work on W98. Anyone know a solution ? I don`t want to fork out £50 - 80 for windows XP. apparently anapod explorer works well.
thanks

you could try using this plug-in for winamp:

not tried it myself as i dont have an ipod but might be worth a look.

of course, you need winamp to use it but that`s win98 compatible too and available from the same site.
