Suggest a printer, primary purpose will be printing photos...

r8sso (Elite) posted this on Wednesday, 14th June 2006, 09:23

My parents are after a new printer so they can print off some of their digital photo`s they have on the computer. They probably won`t be using it for anything else other than photo printing so a one that can be re-filled cheaply would be good.

Can anyone who does a lot of photo printing recommend a good printer for them to buy?

Cheers

Ross

Ps. A good place to buy photo printing paper would be good too.

In my opinion they would be better off spending their money on getting prints done at Asda or Tesco at 5p each for bulk. By the time you buy a printer, ink and paper, waste most of the ink cleaning the injets that tend to clog up, waste most of the paper trying to get the colours right they`ll probably get fed up and end up getting them printed professionally anyway.

HP Photosmart 8250 Photo printer

The ink is recirculated so none is wasted and the print heads are covered under the warranty if they go wrong.
