O2 Wap settings help please?

Tricks (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Sunday, 25th September 2005, 09:57

Hello
I have just upgraded my phone to a Motorola V3 and am trying to set it up for use on O2 Active.
Under Web Sessions I have the following list:
O2 MMS
O2 MMS1 (PADLOCK)
O2 WAP
O2 WAP GPRS
O2 WAP GPRS1 (PADLOCK)
O2 WAP GPRS2 (PADLOCK)
O2 WAP GSM

Can you tell me which setting I need to use please and how I can remove the ones which are not needed.
Thank you
Patrick
P.S. It is an O2 supplied phone and the GPRS icon shows on the screen.

If you go to http://www.o2.co.uk and click on help at the top right of the page it takes you to the info you want. Then click on the "phone settings, picture messaging, o2 active, GPRS, WAP" button, and follow the instructions. You can also get the site to send a message to your phone to set it up for you I think.

Thank you for your reply.
I had tried the automated text message alerts but for some reason they weren`t working properly for me.
Anyway, I emailed O2 and got a reply within hours.
And everything is sorted now, I just did all the settings manually.
If anyone is interested, here they are.
Obviously use at your own risk.
