If Sony can get the prices reasonable enough (which they seem to be doing) and they back it up with much much better software (which they seem not to be doing) then they can be considered serious competition. At the moment though I fear Apple are running away with the market share since they have an enormous head start.

some talk of winamp support as well ?????? thats a major step in the right direction as far as i`m concerned :D the ability to read "standard" playlists would be ace.

& i still hate i-tunes (about as much as i hate sonic stage)

MilesR - I found this on the Sony website if it helps. Not sure what the new Connect software means but it might fit the bill!
