Page 1 of Blueyonder webmail probs?
PCs & Mobiles Forum
Hi All
tried to log on and use my webmail account today (as i normally do) only to
be confronted with a login "error" saying my password is incorrect.....i then
proceeded to the self care section which accepted the same password
and promptly re-entered my password as allocated by telewest (which has been the
same for the last 2 years).
tried once again and still can`t access either webmail or email using the primary
mailbox / account. strange thing is my wife and daughter can both access webmail
and email accounts :/
when trying to log on at home (via outlook express) i get this message:-
as mentioned, both username and password are fine, seeing as they also
let me have access to selfcare...even changing the password on the mailbox
gives the same error.
anyone have any ideas?

There were password authentication problems on Sunday - so probably just that, Blueyonder seem to have that issue a *lot*.

There`s 2 seperate bits of maintenance going on today (that`s what happens when you use Exchange in an ISP environment). I`d point you towards the status page but it`s broken too :(
Should be back up soon.
Other accounts are working ok as the maintenance is only on certain clusters - their accounts will be on different clusters to yours.

"Cluster 2" was down - whatever "cluster 2" is. Maybe it means the second mailbox - mine is the second mailbox on our account and had the password authentication issue.
Tried posting to blueyonder.support.mail newsgroup?

RE: Blueyonder webmail probs?
Hi
thanks for the replies.....webmail is working again this morning, but when logging
onto/into OE i keep getting prompted for my password, which when entered still
gives an error message :/
fortunately, i`ve worked around it by creating a "new" identity and then importing
all of my contacts and messages back into the new identity...works fine now.
thanks again :)

It`s having authentication problems at the moment - so your Webmail may be down again.
