Can anyone tell me the differences or advantages to either of these mp3 players? I know a little bit about the new (yet another) ipod shuffle, which I must admit looks lovely and very tempting but isn`t this the same as the Sony E99?
Trouble is I know lots of peeps with an ipod or ipod mini but don`t know of anyone with an E99? I know they`re both flash based mp3 players, and the ipod is weeny and cute and as far as I can see the main differences are the ipod doesn`t have a screen and the Sony one does. That and battery life. Sony`s one last`s a lot longer but I don`t know what the functionality is like?
Can anyone help pleeeeeeeeeeeease? I`m thinking about getting one or the other but which one?????

Hi Squareeyes - I`m quite interested in the flash card players as well and I`ve seen a picture of the E99 - looks pretty small, great battery life - but there must be other brands out there, other than Sony and ipod - how do they compare ?

well I had a little read up on the web and the ipod shuffle does look very cool but I think the main differences are the E99 has a screen and a better battery life. I think you can buy an external battery case for the shuffle but that kinda defeats the object a bit really.
They both seem fairly similar so I guess it`s just a matter of usability and what you`re comfortable with? Why are you thinking of getting one Botch?
