Page 1 of Which Nokia handset?

One for the Ogster or Westy maybe...

I`ve had my 3650 for some time now and am getting a bit fed up of it`s size (although I like the big screen...). Is there a Nokia that fulfills all the following criteria...

Symbian OS
MP3 Ringtones (essential - is it me or is polyphonic just crap!)
Camera
Smaller/sleeker than 3650

I had the 3650 & upgraded to the 6230, wgich is a great phone & half the size of the 3650.

Don`t think it is Symbian though.

The 6600 will fit the bill perfectly. It`s getting on a bit, but i still prefer it to the newer 7610, (and the even newer 6670 and 3G 6630). It`s small, easy to use, has all the things you want, and has a useful upgrade to Symbian version 7 OS, as opposed to the older and slower version 6.

The 7610 has a superb megapixel camera, but i prefer the 6600 has it does away with that damn silly keypad!!

The 6230 is ok, but to be honest it is based on the ageing Series 40 OS, which depsite being polished til it shines, is starting to be shown the door by newer stuff from the likes of SonyEricsson and Samsung, (bear in mind i utterly detest Samsung mobiles!!). The 6230 has the cackest screen too, Nokia really missed s good chance there!!

The new 7270 tho, takes the Series 40 OS and gives it the screen it deserves with the flipper 7270

Looks wicked, tho still a bit bizarre. Saw the screen in Phones4u and it is a total beauty - a revised version of the screen in the 3G 7600. The phone has mp3 ringtones, a stereo radio, and works like a dream.....must....keep....away...:)

westy, any particular reason you`re not recomending the 6260 ? :o

Because i do think that the 6260 is rather on the large side and if he wants something smaller than the 3650, then the 6600 is the daddy!

Also, as time is wearing on, i`m starting to wane of this 6260 - it`s fab, but i`m wanting the 7610 now instead for its better camera and slicker looks.

God damn it i`m so easily bored and swayed!!!

westy, sorry to bug you again, but is the 7610 just a "new" shape 7600 ? or is it proper symbian s60 ? cheers :)

Proper S60, the 7600 is a tarty Series 40 with a cool cam

ta, tbh i was labouring under the misconception that it was a 7600 in new clothes :) but if it`s a series 60 then i reckon i`ll get that instead, not to enamoured with it`s looks but it seems the closest spec to the original N-GAGE than all the other model`s good screen/mp3 player-Radio ? and i`m hoping to get most of my old N-GAGE games working on it :D any idea wheres best for a sim-free price ? also, do you know if the mmc is hot-swappable ? (this way i "may" be able to use my standard mmc`s in the rsmmc slot by "tinkering" with the card slot closure mech) till i can afford a 1gig rsmmc ;) & just one more, do you know if the 7610 can use mp3 for rintones ? i`m assuming it can if it`s got an mp3 player built in, but i figured i`d ask to be sure ;)

and once again, ta very much for the info westy :) and if you want a copy of my now infamous ringtone/video/app/games dvd compilation (3 Full dvd`s worth) let me know & i`ll happily post a set out to you :)

and to julians original question, i`d deffo be leaning towards the 7610 now, about the same overall size of the 3650 (all series 60 phone seem to be around the same "volume/weight") and it seems Very well featured
