Tesco Broadband.....Any good?

phil@ (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Tuesday, 21st September 2004, 14:26

As the title suggests, i`m looking for a cheap broadband package to use on my new BT line. No download limits is essential though. I know Virgin Broadband does not have any tie-ins (12 month contract). Anyone else found a good deal.

Thanks for any help in advance !

Seems a good deal to me for £19.99 a month with no hidden catches. Thinking of changing from Pipex (£23.99) to Tescos after my year with them has expired.

If you`ve already got broadband, check out V21. They`ve just lowered their prices to 16.99 a month, and migration costs about 11.75 (at least it did for me from their old price).

One tel are doing no limit broadband for £19-00 & I believe throw in a modem (but check first). However They are doing a package at £29.00 that gives you Broadband & unlimited 01 (I believe) phone calls. At the moment we are on the unlimited for about £13.00 month & Pipex at £23.00 so I`m migrating to the One tel package.

OneTel are a temptation too, with the new `phone package with broadband. I have been with them for the `phone for umpteen years now, and occasional dial-up, and they have been more than excellent (is that possible?).
