Page 1 of firmware upgrade for LG dvd burner

Can anyone recommend where to get a firmware upgrade for an LG dvd burner model GSA4082BB. I also need to make it region free, it`s currently saying i have four more region changes before it locks. Is their a separate firmware upgrade for this?

You need the "RPC1" firmware if you want region free

If your gonna upgrade your firmware be aware that you can kill the drive if you get it wrong ;)

if it`s a new drive I would play it safe and just buy anydvd rather than download something and fry it.
