Has anyone bought anything from that site before and what are they like to deal with? Also which credit/debit cards do they take?

Thankyou in advance.

I`ve placed at lease 15 orders from SVP using a visa card.
If you sign up for their newsletter, every 3 or 4 weeks they have a cheap shipping offer of 99p in you spend over £30.
Check the Retailer forum, & also do a search at the Bargain forum, they pop up quite a bit.
All my orders have been placed at the weekends & delivered on the Wednesday by courier
I would highly recommend SVP, & indeed have done so, to many friends & members of my family.

Hi,

I have spent many hundreds of pounds with SVP and only once I had one spindle of DVD+R`s that my burner did not like, I sent them back and got a refund without any problems. I would highly recommend SVP for anybody to use.

Thankyou for your recommendation. Does anyone else know of any other good sites to compare prices with?

Thankyou.

On a side note, I read a review of the new NEC dual layer burner in PC Format and they reckon that there is no end of compatability issues for the new dual layer burners. So buyers beware.

Well I managed to hunt down 3 DVD+R DL and burned one. Tried it in my DVD player and results look good :) It reconizes it as a DVD and starts to play. Only one slight problem, I used DVD Decrypter to copy the DVD and it hasen`t done a very good job.

I created an .ISO image file and took about an hour, just what I expected for it to burn.

Does any one know of a programme desinged for DVD+R DL?

Does anyone know how to make CloneDVD write them also as this programme does a great job with burning DVDs.

There isen`t much info on the net at the moment about DVD+R DL burning :(

Thankyou in advance.

CDR-Media.co.uk have just announced DL DVD+Rs by Verbatim at £10 a pop. Maybe it`s a bit too early to be an early adopter. ;)

DVDShrink 3.2 is DL compatible (or so I`m told).

LOL, I would agree, but nice to be able one of a handfull to try something new for the first time! :D

I paid £6 each for mine, not bad as the last time I looked the where £8! They already come down in the space of about a week and a half LOL.

So first off, I want to avoid using Nero, DVD Decrypter to burn them.

Compatabilaty doesn`t seem to be much of a problem if you use DVD-ROM booktype. I`m pritty impressed with the results for the first disk! :)
