The default password on this phone is supposed to be 8 zeros, but even though my husband and I do not remember him changing it, it doesn`t work (I would be surprised if he had changed it, as he is a bit of a techno-dinosaur). Any suggestions?

Can you do something similar with a (tres unfashionable) nokia 7110? I need to put in a new sim and it`s unlocked OK - I just can`t remember the security password :( :/

Not 100% sure, I think its cable only.... let me double check!

Dusty, I decided to search on Google, and eventually found this: http://www.freewebs.com/gsmcodes/phonecodes.htm I don`t know if your code didn`t work `cos I still had the SIM in the phone, I`ve never had to do this sort of thing before (if I change a password I remember what I`ve changed it to!) Anyway, rather than go back to this site and retry (too much effort?!), I used the codes listed without SIM in and they worked. Yippee!! Phone is fully reset and security password is 8 zeros again. (Husband is VERY relieved) Wouldn`t have been able to do it without your help though, as I wouldn`t have trusted the codes except they looked really similar to yours. :)
