Page 1 of Nokia 6230 - Fantastic!!***NOW REVIEWED***

Took delivery of one of these little puppies yesterday, and all i can say is that this thing rocks!

MP3, FM radio, GPRS, Bluetooth, Camera, Video Cam, Voice Recorder. Infra Red, EDGE, High Speed Data, POP3 email support... The lost goes on.

And it`s only the size of a Nokia 3100. It ain`t a Symbian, it`s a new generation Series 40, but it`s fantastic stuff indeed.

If anyone wants a review a`la the 7600 one, then let me know. I`ll incorporate it into another Ask Westy mobile round up, (as people are always emailing me about mobiles!).

If you`re in the market for a new phone, then you can`t go wrong here, trust me.

Where did you get your 6230, & what network do you use?

I took my 6600 back to get one of these...
Love it apart from a right nightmare getting the pcsuite to read the gallery contents via IR...nearly pulled my hair out and lobbed the thing outta the window! Also have been using all the "movies" ;) & ringtones etc I had on my pc for the 6600. Amazing FM & MP3 sound from it. If you have aprblem accessing caller groups, do a factory reset and all is sorted. All the best...F...(Yes, would like a review so I can bask in the knowledge that I have a cool toy!)

westy :) this could be the phone i`m looking for, any idea`s on battery life ? thats the main thing for me as i will be using it for listning to mp3`s all day and my n gage lasts all day on 2 batterys (change them at dinnertime :) ) and is the camera as good as the 3650.

Hi ogster, definately has an MMC slot, there have been reports it cantake up to 512MB! It is supplied with a 32MB card though & stereo headset with mic built in. Excellent sound from FM radio & MP3`s...even has different settings for normal, rock, jazz etc,etc.., palys 3gp vids on it, plenty of them off the symbian / 7650 / 6600 sites! You can even have an MP 3 as a ringtone...I`m still in the process of powering up & draining the batteries to get the most out of them later so can`comment although I`m sure our resident telephonic guru will enlighten you on that...don`t waste time, go get one!
Excellent lump of gsm delight...(the camera I would say is as good as the 6600 I had for a few days.)

cheer`s flyer :) couple more questions.
does it have the max file limit of 255 tracks like the n gage ? as this is my only niggle about the n gage :) (other than size + lack of camera)

Gonna have to wait for Westy on that one I`m afraid mate...I`ll be honest, i`m only just starting to get into MP3`s, for jogging n` stuff n gym work! I haven`t even converted me CD`s into 255 MP3`s yet! I`m sure being the gent he is, he`ll get back to you soon though.
