Page 1 of Nokia PC Suite help required urgent!!

How do,

I`m trying to install Nokia Suite 5.7 on the spare PC at home. It meets the minimum requirements, BUT every time it goes to install, it stops and says `Another version of PC Suite has been detected. Please remove this before installing`.

I`ve searched the entire PC and i know there are no other versions installed. There is in the `My Computer` screen a Nokia Phone Browser icon, but i can`t get rid of it and i can`t find the file to locate it!!!

This is doing my head in, how is the icon still there if the program isn`t, how do i get rid, and what`s the most sure way of finding out for sure that there are NO other PC Suite files lurking :)

if you havent already tried it go to add/remove programs and remove it like that.

Failing that, it was a bad install, so open up regedit search and elimate anything pertaining to nokia from your registry. Create a restore point before you do this incase you delete anything you shouldnt by accident.

It;s not working!! It still says that damn message!!. In the My Computer folder it still has Nokia Phone Browser, but i`ve been into regedit and killed most of the Nokia stuff, but i`m no expert with PC`s, so if anyone else can help, it`d be great!!

There`s a more uptodate version of their registry cleaner which I think might do the trick. Try downloading this one. The first one cleans out PC Suite 4, this one tackles the later versions.
