I was thinking of buying a DVD burner but notice that there are a lot of little used ones for sale on EBay. Is there a problem with them or are they not as multi- use as a CDRW writer. I would appreciate any advice. Thanks. Rederech

TBH the difference in price between a good CD-RW and a DVD+/- RW is not as great as it used to be and as such I would recommend a DVD writer. I rarely browse E-bay so have no idea who is selling what but in all honesty I would buy from a retailer. I think you would be better of getting a model such as the Pioneer 106 dual format writer . Not only does this give you the option of writing to + or - format DVD/r`s but it is extremely reliable according to many forum members. I have the 105 and if this is anything to go by then the 106 or even the 107 ( 8 speed ? ) would be an excellent buy.
