One I have now, typhoon, takes about a week to run down, then I can plug it into my USB to charge.
Usually the life goes by, how much you use it.

Got a "sub-standard" wireless mouse (A4 Tech, or something like that) and the batteries usually last three months or more!

Was that the wireless keyboard and optical mouse as sold by Curry`s ? If so, that was the model I took back as couldn`t get mouse to work after set up. Lost some faith in Packard Bell so went for a Logitech. Pity, as Packard came with rechargeable batteries and appropriate charger.

My Microsoft intellmouse explorer lasts about 6 weeks on duracell m3`s, and is on 24/7. I found 1800 rechargables to last about the same length of time.

Just the mouse. I bought from dixons. Although, they sent the wrong type, so never used it to see if the 3 days was true. But reviews online all said about 3 days!
Ooooh, 3 months sound good to me. But I think my problem is, I don`t charge long enough, as i`m using it all day every day... no time to charge, so when I have lunch, gets a blitz then! I have 1600 rechargable batteries in. Dunno how long suppose to charge them for... 10 hours I charged first time.
My keyboard batteries are still going strong. :D
