i wouldn`t touch 3 whith a bargpole at the moment, wait a bit and see if their network coverage improves, a friend of mine recently dumped O2 cos he was sick of the customer service (contract) and changed to 3, now he`s really p***ed off as when his 3 phone goes out range of it`s native network it allways drops down to O2 and thats aroun 80% of the time :o so if i were you i`d stay whith orange for now.

Second that opinion, Three are useless.

Its all very well having more free minutes for less money than anyone else, but if you can`t get the reception to make a call, its all irrelevant anyway! I`ve had a Three phone for several months, and its spent most of that time in a drawer gathering dust.

Cheers,
Rich.

This network was on watchdog last week... it`s BAD... even 3 admit they shouldn`t have released it yet, it simply just doesn`t work yet. They had to though, to start making money.

Although.. i`m only going by what i`ve seen on TV.

3 uses o2 as the voice network and there own network for 3G content etc.... At the very least you should make sure you have o2 coverage and then you will only be able to make voice calls. If you want 3 goto the nearest retailer and let them give you a demo a sure way to make sure you get what you pay for!!!

dont criticise what you dont understand!
the 3g network does have their problems, but they also have the best tarrifs, and yes,the phones they have so far have been a little bit odd in the design dept.
but the new ones inc.the motorola 835 are technically so far advanced and desirable, and there are lots of new smaller phones on the way to xmas.the other networks are more established, but boy,do they rip their customers off! give it time, this network will take off!
everybody i know wants a 3g,because of their tarrifs. 8)

No it won`t. I presume you haven`t got a 3 mobile ?

Theres nothing wrong with the phones (apart from being a bit on the large side), the problems come with the network and the appaling customer service.

I`ve been with Three for 5 months and they haven`t even managed to take one direct debit yet, but happily send out `pay up or your gonna be cut off letters` every other week !

Don`t believe the Three hype, the technology is untested and doesn`t work.

Cheers,
Rich.

also about the tarrifs, they may be reletivly cheep (pun intended) but for many people this is irrelivent, for instance i got my 3650 sim free and paid through the nose for the
privillage but the cheapest tarif (at the time) was 30quid a month, i`ve had the phone for 2 or 3 months now and have yet to use all of the ten pounds of credit i got with it so screw how many minutes you get for 25quid a month, and as for giving 3 network a chance ? you are deluded, any company that launches a country wide network & in reality can only offer 50% (native 3 network without dropping to O2) is a thief, if comet were selling 50 dvd`s for 100quid and you paid your money then they said "sorry we only have half, but you can have the rest when we can get them" what would you do ? would you say thats ok cos that`s the principle that 3 work by >:(

sorry to rant but a few of my friends have been stung by this awfull service
