How do I resize an NTFS partition in XP

Miles (Elite Donator) posted this on Friday, 17th October 2003, 20:05

Hi guys and gals

I`ve just put in another 120GB hard drive and have no use for an existing partition on the master drive

At the moment I have a physical disk seperated into two logical drives - both NTFS
I want to get rid of the second logical drive and resize the first to fill the disk

I thought I could do it with Partition Magic - but it seems it doesn`t like NTFS!
Can`t see anything in Computer Management (control panel, admin tools) either

Any ideas appreciated

Miles

What version of Partition Magic were you using?

I`m pretty sure I`ve done this with PM 7.0, but can`t check as I don`t have it installed atm.

It`s PM Pro v6.0

I`ll search out v7 and see it that helps me

Thanks for the info

Version 8 here - it works fine with NTFS.
