Hi, New PC (self build) and when playing a music CD the sound crackles. I know for definite it is not the speakers as I have tested my old ones on this computer and they made the same crackling noise, so I was just wondering could anyone please give me some advice into what the problem could be. So what happens with sound in general? On games, movies, mp3s etc? Is the sound crap only when you`re playing a CD directly from CD-ROM drive? Maybe the connection from the Cd drive to the sound card is lose, dodgey cable?
